2011 Has already started off with a big bang for THE HORSEWHISPERER.

On January 17th myself and the rest of the Horse Racing Radio Network Broadcast team will receive the coveted Eclipse award for our live broadcast at the 2010 Breeders’ Cup to be presented in front of our horse racing peers in Miami Beach.

The award is a great honour with a tremendous lot of travel and sheer hard work gone into presenting the broadcasts and reports from around the country. To be rewarded with an Eclipse means to work that much harder in bringing this great sport to a younger audience.

What else for 2011 ….. only one thing I am looking forward to and the money is down ….. is UNCLE MO winning the Derby, then moving on to scoop the TRIPLE CROWN.

Of all the races and works I covered that week at Churchill Downs, He impressed me the most, in fact the most since Spectacular Bid. Lookout, it’s going to be a stellar year with huge stories even bigger than The Horsewhisperer and the Eclipse award.
